I hope that this pandemic will have taught the NHS detractors and privatisers such as the Tory party and that self proclaimed man of the people Nigel Farage to start to realise the true value of the NHS to the majority of the people in this country, we by no stretch of the imiganation have the best health service in the world as claimed by some politicians however this is totally due to the constant underfunding and sometimes the undermining of the NHS by the same aforementioned politicians, i firmly beleive we do have one of the best value health services in the world and because it is an integrated system our NHS has been a leader in coming up with tried and tested treatments for covid 19, the American health system costs over £12 per head of population while ours costs a little over £3 per head and it covers everyone, imagine how much better our system would be if we doubled our spending on the NHS which would be half the cost of the American system now that would be something worth voting for.

according to matt hancock the rate of vaccination at the moment is 200 per minute, unless that rate increases it will take over a year to vaccinate the entire population, at 66 years of age i hope i will get one soon, though i expect my disabled partner who is classed as vulnerable (though this did not stop her being attacked by council employed pavements thugs) will probably get her jab before me, i understand that there are a lot of people who are anti vaccine who will not take up the offer to be vaccinated, and to those who feel this way i for one salute their selfless action of risking a slow and terrible death to allow others to get themselves protected.

General Discussion / boris goes on a picnic during lockdown
« on: January 12, 2021, 04:54:51 PM »
In the news today it has reported how boris cycled seven miles during lockdown, now if he used his usual bike it has a drinks container fastened to it, so was he imediately surrounded by a mob of police and accused of having a picnic and fined NO.
This is exactly the same as the earlier Cummings incident the rules made for the general population which boris and his crowd want  rigouresly enforcing by a mob of armed to the teeth personnel in quasi military outfits apply to everyone but themselves, this shows the level of contempt they not only have for the general population but also their total disregard for the law itself and as it applies to themselves.
I hate lockdown but see it as a necessary way to reduce infection and save lives but if boris does not abide by the rules why should anyone else, this is just another example of what boris and the rest of them think about the voters ie that they are just there to give them the power to do as they please.

Sorasto you forgot donuts, i have followed all the rules during lockdown as it is common sense, however i have to sympahise with the young peple who have raves and parties even though i know that their behaviour does pose a risk to others. i thought backto when i was young and thought what would i have thought to all the bars shut and being locked down and though i cannot be 100% sure i think i may have continued wanting to party.

One other thing is the minute i heard the police were going to be involved i had to question my support for lockdown as the police are the biggest criminal gang in the country and only interested in flexing their muscles and bossing people around while inventing laws where none exist as with these two ladies.

I understand your concerns, frustrations and annoyance hifimad.
In this kind of situation there is little more you could have done apart from pass it onto Police.
It is up to the individuals concerned to take this further should they wish too.

Meanwhile, you and your family stay safe from this Covid malarkey x
thank you for your best wishes which i return to you unresrvedly, if you see my other post you will see why i think passing it over to the police would be pointless in the extreme as they appear to be far to busy harrassing law abiding citizens, (so no change there then).

Talk about shutting the stabe door, in this case the horse has not only bolted it has been recaught lived to a ripe old age died and now resides in numerous tubes of thix o fix, Trump has been posting on twitter spreading ludicrously outragious concpiracy theories and disinformation for years, David Camereron once said that to many tweets makes a tw@ in trumps case this seems to be true, however lets not forget that twitter is culpable for enabling his insanity.

General Discussion / a flask of cofee is a picnic according to police
« on: January 09, 2021, 02:27:41 PM »
This is what Derbyshire Police said to justify an imposition of a £200 fine (each) after numerous of their number surrounded the two women who went for their exersize to walk around round a reservoir, thank god they did not take a scotch egg with them as after Gove stated a scotch egg constituted a substantial meal the police could have fined them for having an open a resteuraunt open to the public in the shape of a car.

We are constantly being told how short staffed our Police are and this proves the lie, if you or i call out the police to deal with a burglary or vandalism to property they turn up days later, yet they have enough manpower to turn up mob handed to fine two ladies who were abiding by lockdown rules and not breaking any law.

These ladies were not posing any risk to themselves or others however by surrounding these ladies mob handed the risk  to health these ladies faced was imediatly multiplied, the only risky behaviour which warranted a fine in this case was commited by the Police themselves.

Happy New year Hifimad

I know you have told us of a personal bad experience in the past.
I can't comment on the situation you speak of but can only add if I was concerned I would have walked away and informed the police of my concerns and let them attend and deal with it.
i fully understand your position and would usually agree with you, however these people in the past have operated with the full support of the police in their law breaking, i speak of course of them instructing the police to unlawfully detain someone they knew beyond doubt was innocent of any crime and the police could not jump fast enough, also the handing of privelidged information of complaints i had made to police proffessional standards to these guards to enable them to post it online a criminal breech of the data protection act by both the police and the guards who posted it, the police do not give a damn about the guards lawbreaking.
