Forgot to mention, 4 night stay in Colwyn Bay at the end of July booked  8)

Only got here at 4pm and loving it already. Cracking room and a lovely town, had a short stroll round looking for food  :)
The pier is shut down and the main beach promenade is closed for restoration. Should be grand when it's finished  though ;)
Didn't mean that sarcastically, it really will be nice when it's done   (y)

Posted some pics on Facebook. If you haven't got me on facebook just search for Barry Fly Featherstone and add me.
If I get the chance, I'll upload some to the Forum Photobucket account. I forgot about it earlier LOL
Done a lot of walking around Colwyn today, pity I didn't have the camera yesterday evening. The weather was much better.
Anglessey tomorrow we thinks, possibly Beaumaris Castle weather depending.

It's forecast 12 hours of pi$$ing it down :-(

Went to Scarborough for the day (again) today, had a nice day but it was breezy and bl@@dy cold!!

There were some fierce waves coming in from the sea!

Pleased you enjoyed it Alsatian.
Love the photo of the waves, it brought back memories of my friend and I in our teens on holiday in Blackpool.

The sea was rough, we sat at the back of the rocks area to the south - got wet through - obviously - by one huge wave which just carried on and on and on  :))

On the way back to our digs some people stopped us and asked what the swimming baths were like  :))

Good times  ;)

Going for food now at the Harvester. Hope the food is better than their website.
Looked on the net for their menu and it 'Blue Screen Of Deathed' my lappy. Twice on the trot !!
Not been back on the website and the lappy seems fine thankfully.  :)

Mr Gert and I are hoping to have a holiday in Correlejo, Fuertaventura first week November.  Has anyone been there?  We've been told of a hotel called The Hesperia Bristol and I wondered if anyone knew of it.

The best deal I can get is unfortunately with Ryanair.  I'd dearly love to upgrade to another airline but its quite costly.  We have to stay within budget because Mr Gerts travel insurance is almost £100 for a week due to his pre-existing health issues.

So, that beggars another question....who's flown with Ryanair?  Was it the dreadful experience I'm led to believe?   8)

Had a quote from Staysure Pam, and also a few others, all around same price.  It's coming down each year.  Last time we went away, the insurance cost as much as Mr Gert's cost of holiday!   >:(

Ryan Air:
First airline we flew with that doesn't, or didn't, allocate seats. First on the plane, take your pick.
Overweight luggage, don't get stung with their high priced charges  (y)

Don't think they charge for using the loo yet  >;
