I love my i-phone but I think they really ought to concentrate less on the technology and more on developing something more feminine and pink.   :D

I'm sure some of these other smart phones are great. My problem is since the late 80s I have used Apple Mac kit for graphic design and the software we used was not available for PC.

Nowadays my iPhone, iPad, MacBook and desktop computer all talk to each other - and to change to PC, which is so much cheaper, would still cost an arm, a leg and several other body parts...  :-?

Also, over the last 20/25 years I have heard so many tales of pc owners talking all weekend to install a new system and having to rebuild after virus and malware attacks that I would be largely against a complete change.

One thing about Apple kit is that it just seems to work - and I have never had a virus or been infected by malware. This peace of mind alone makes Apple the option for me.

Have had a few attacks that never got through, that's because I keep all my software up to date.
and  have had to sort a few peoples problems out, and then found out that their anti-virus was not up to date.

But here's food for thought Pete...http://www.forbes.com/sites/timworstall/2012/06/26/yes-apples-machines-really-can-get-viruses/

It's going to get even worse, now that Apple sued Samsung, a lot of people are angry about that one.

Not seen that Kenty - but I suppose some low-life hacker would eventually have to have a serious go at it.

Seriously can't believe some low level programming scum hasn't already done it.
I say low level, cos all the high level programmers work for Kaspersky, McAffee  or Norton !

Not accusing, just a little mind ramble  ;)

Well, preliminary reports of the phone are not good - I think I'll pass on this one.  :(
