I'd actually pay for a picture like that gladly. Especially if it had been done before my eyes.

There were people doing similar stuff in Las Vegas.  We saw one of them paint the Luxor from scratch in about 10 mins.  Absolutely amazing to see.

I love walking round art galleries, not keen on the modern abstracts but go more for the detailed paintings.

I have two favourites at home the first I had done as a gift for my late partners birthday it was of the cottage where we lived. The artist painted it from a photograph I gave him

The other is actually one of my late mother in laws - it's only a a Pears one fromyears ago and called The Long Bill - portraying an accountant sat at his desk with a bird with a long bill looking over his shoulder. On our recent visit to Newcastle the same picture was on the wall in Beamish.
