-
Marham Road by the retail park?
-
If I had taken the photos with the intention of posting on here I would have made the angle more obscure. Does anyone know if they are old posts re-erected as they have that date on for the old cattle market?
-
Is that a yes then?
-
Here ya go then, where's this lovely old building?
-
Eyam?

Nope - a lot closer to Chesterfield

Brilliant! Well done Keith, thought I'd have to give clues for that one.
Do know anything about the building? We pass it on the way to Linacre.
-
What would you like to know? What colour blinds we have in the kitchen maybe, or how long it takes to mow the lawn???? ;)
-
In your dreams... :P
-
It's a fair cop, Gov!! :D
-
Mind you, does look a bit like your coal shed... :))

Olympic Park? No
(http://i47.tinypic.com/123mlno.jpg)
-
Football ground?
-
It's the heating boiler chimney at the Winding Wheel. That bloody ugly thing dominates any view of the town from the north, and especially from the by-pass, and can dwarf the crooked spire behind it. How on earth it ever got past planning will remain a mystery to me.
-
This old door was exposed when this buiding underwent renovation a few years ago:

Knew where it was not what it is. So it's not a work of art like at Olympic Park then?
-
Hope no one minds if I add this - found it when looking through some photos :)
-
Somewhere in Theatre Yard q?
-
Yep, thats right, between the library and Maccy D's
-
Mine was at The Royal Oak - round the other side from the entrance.
-
Twas a total guess Poppy, don't know where I dug it up from :)
Didn't have a clue about the door Stuart, hence I didn't post ;)

Pfffft!!!! I didn't get you for long then. :))
It is, Pete. :)
-
Ahh - the beauty of Google maps streetguide thingy. I only went down Saltergate from our our hose to look at the roofs of the two council buildings, found nowt but got it after a few more clicks.... :-[
OK - I sort a new one.
-
*note to self* keep well away from Pete's "hose" when taking photographs or he'll getcha with the Google street view thingy. ;)
-

-
OK - I'll give you a clue. It's been in the news just lately and is being debated on our forums.
-

Is it in Newbold?
-

-
The Wheatsheaf?
-
Well done, Pete ..... and Google Street View ;)
-
2nd question, do you know what it is ? I do ;)
-
For mobile phone reception
-
That's right Handy, it's about as blended in as the tree at the top of the hill(left)
as you drive into Brimington past the Ringwood Hotel ;D
Edit, correct Pete ;)
-
Where's this?
-
Without using Google, somewhere up Dunston Rd, eg Venture/Millenium Way ??
-
Nope. Clue: you cannot see this on Google Street View.
-
Hence my initial guess. Loads of new builds not on Google.
Mmmm thinking !
-
The building where this object resides is on GSV - but it cannot be seen from the road.
-
I thought Chesterfield college but cannot place those buildings,it looks like the sculpter is sat on a old air vent from a train tunnel going on the colour of the bricks an them circular.
-
isn't it behind the building that replaced the AGD?
-
Oh Yes! Jon gets it in one. :)
-
my turn then
-
I've just spent half hour googling 'Chesterfield Art', for Pete's contribution.

Thats where I got it!!! (Though I knew it was there!) Not difficult to figure out if you look at the contents of the picture.
-
It's behind the CPP building (Future Walk) on West Bars (walked past it this morning and commented on it to my wife!)
Oops - didn't finish reading the thread before I posted - sorry!! ::)
-
.......and this one is where?

Is it the library?
-
Is it the library?
No
-
Is it the same building as per my sculpture post? What was the AGD?
-
my thought as well.
Don't forget mine is still open for guessing
-
Cineworld JR ?
-
Is it the same building as per my sculpture post? What was the AGD?
Yes it is and, funnily enough I nearly took a photo of that sculpture - but decided on the building instead!
-
Cineworld JR ?
correct there's a few of them in the pavement.
Jaws and Jurassic Park represented on that one.
-
Another one. Pub.
-
Donkey Derby?
-
nope ;)
-
In Chesterfield?

Woodside.
-
Spot on Pete ;)
Note to self, must try harder :)
-
Steady on mate, that was pretty hard. :'(
I'll put one up tomorrow.
-
Someone I knew was manageress there years ago LOL.
Always found it a strange looking building. Why a tower ?
-
It's only been a pub since the late 60's (ish). When I was small, I could see the spire, surrounded by trees, from my bedroom window and I was convinced that it was the castle Cinderella lived in.
-
Is this how you remember it Aitch? :)
-
Wow! Excellent photo poppy. :)
-
A tower but no windows ?
-
Indeed it is, Poppy. It was a lovely house :)
-
Although it looks like something from a fairy tale I think it was a solicitor who lived there, he might have been called Slack. What a beautiful place.
-
Here we go...
