Jeremy kyle Show Axed (at last)
« on: May 15, 2019, 02:20:37 PM »
Finally the TV company has been forced to discontinue this exploititive garbage, it was a bear pit were the bears where the disfunctional members of the public who were held up to be pilloried and abused by Kyle and his baying mob the audience, whenever people looked like they were about to retaliate against Kyle he would hide behind his burly security guards while still harranging his hapless victims, thank the lord i will not see his smug self satisfied fizzogg on my tv ever again advertising his upcoming programs exploitation of the less fortunate members of society. the show can now be consigned to the dustbin of history while hopfully taking the cowardly, smug, sanctimonious and judgemental kyle with it

I have read that the word axed may be a little premature. There is talk that it could be put on the "back burner" basically till the dust has settled and the mindless have moved onto another victim.

I agree 100% about the banality of the show, I think all the episode that's been on over the years I think I've seen about 15 minutes all told. People's personal misery has become a spectator sport, but it's like a drug dealer, he would be out of business if no body bought his drugs
 if people didn't watch this drivel the ratings would plummet and it would be taken off the air. Then again it's nothing new, down the years right from watching gladiators to watching public executions certain people have found ghoulish pleasure in watching people degrade themselves or be degraded. Even newspapers in the late 60's and then 70's had a tag line "Smut sells papers" but in those days it was called titillation.

I always said these programmes will continue till someone actually dies on screen, then and only then will you be sure of seeing the last of programmes like that. I would have thought T.V. companies had learned that lesson from Noel Edmonds.

It's been taken off No more Jezza. We said he was out of line at times and would end up with a punch on the nose!
I think Oprah set this kind of show off didn't she although much milder viewing, then Kilroy came along and eventually got pulled off the air.
J.K. will bounce back in  Ross Kemp style shows I reckon

I believe it was Jerry Springer in the States that started all this trash t.v. Then in Britain Tricia Goddard started the u.k. equivalent and in turn was replaced by Kyle.
You can tell the effect 24 hour t.v. has had, there are so many channels now they can't find enough programmes to fill them hence trash t.v.
Also years and years ago if you were watching t.v. and you got visitors turning up you turned off the telly as it was good manners, nowadays the telly is on in the background 24/7 and it happens to me, if I visit I find it maddening trying to hold a conversation with someone who has one eye constantly on the box, I think it's the height of bad manners.

that would have been one for kyle, he could have got on his show the person you visited with the tv on and then you could have piled on the bile about his bad manners and started the audience baying for blood. ;)

It has to be a generation thing.
Being of a certain age technology is a wonderful thing, but it doesn't rule my life to the extent I forget my manners. As with the t.v. scenario it's the same when my daughter and grand kids visit, they say hello sit down and they are on their phones barely looking up, even when you ask them something they will reply without looking up. I realise that for the young their phones are their lifeblood and without them they would die and so visiting the "wrinklies" is possibly not something on their must do list
{unless of course it's possibly one of their birthdays, then I have their undivided attention, funny that}
Shows such as Jeremy Kyle pass as entertainment because that's what certain generations want to see. Their expectations are so low it is reflected in what they watch and they jump at the chance to watch the drain family air their dirty laundry in public. As with reality cop shows you see these people for what they are, mindless thugs that can't hold their liqueur, and it's all caught on camera. This is why the boyfriend of one of the Westminster victims said, a few days ago, that just after it happened "people were more interested in videoing my dying girlfriend than ringing for an ambulance". They also have a porn show dressed up as a dating programme {naked attraction}
These cr*p programmes need to be taken off the air
Or better still if people see the need to feed on this tripe then put them on specific channels, at least that way if I'm watching channels 4/5 or itv or whatever I wouldn't be bumping into garbage like Kyle.

 i have been considering pitching an idea to the tv companies, the provisional title is THATS YOUR POO, it would involve celebrities going on the toilet and doing their business behind a screen and the contestants marrying up said poo to the potential pooee so to speak, in this day an age i think i am on to a surefire winner, this could be the ideal replacement for KYLE and not quite as repugnant as his smug face and certainly not as inane as his show.

As with my idea a while back "Celebrity nose picking"
If the same digit is used for both shows, lets hope the nose pickers are first!!!
