That's it The George!  Don't mind paying a bit more if it's decent food. We'll have to try it.
Yes, Bateman Mills has closed. It's tough out there.
Not been tk the young vanish for a few years.
The last time we went we weren't impressed but hey ho that's how ii goes sometimes.

Just saw on B.B.C. news this morning a lady horse trainer was being interviewed and he interviewer remarked how "she" had lost a horse yesterday as it had to be put down and her basic cavalier reply was along the lines of:-
"Hey ho these things happen, not too worry I've got more".

I'll never understand why it's even called a sport, and why the need for horse trainers? correct me if I'm wrong but don't horses already know how to run, they don't need to be shown.

We haven't been abroad since 2019 and we haven't missed it. It would take something spectacular, like a lottery win, to get us to go, we'll stick with Blighty for now.

Apparently they also run the 3 horse shoes in C/C.

I can't remember using either of those airports, haven't flown for a few years now - we prefer to hop on a ship

Over the years I think they have all had their blips and we've given them a break for awhile - maybe it's to do with the Chefs??

Six Halts in Clay Cross - I won't go there!
Actually there's a pub in Clay Cross which has a good name for food but I've never been as yet and can't think of the name!! ::) :(

I don't watch horse racing, but 12 years ago, had a big fall at Beechers Brook at Aintree....inside the horse race circuit is one of the old grand prix circuits, and I was racing my car. Luckily, I was not hurt too much but my car was a tad damaged!
