I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

WoW never knew that, really interesting to see what once was. Now that island has manky unused toilets on it. Looks like 70's?

It would be great if google street camera had been around in say the 60s or 70s because it's hard to remember some of the buildings and even how some road layouts were

I recall that building very well, although I'm not sure it was a police station by the time I was bussing to school in the early 1960's.  Could be wrong of course - memory can play tricks at times  >:(

Asked my parents about this.

It was a private house for some years after it closed down as a police station. Belonged to quite a scruffy family at one time, my dad sold insurance to them in the days when it was door to door collections and it had the sort of atmosphere where you had to hold your breath until you got back outside.

Pretty much the same as when it was a cop shop then...
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

............................sort of atmosphere where you had to hold your breath until you got back outside.

A bit off topic but, when I was a schoolkid I delivered papers and one of the houses there was the same - you'd hold your breath when opening the garden gate and breath again when you closed it!! That was in the '60s - I went past his house a few weeks ago and his door is still the same colour, never been painted!!!
