An owl was playing pool in the pub.
A foul was committed and the referee shouted 'That's 2 hits'
to which the owl replied
wait for it
You're ahead of me aren't you
"2 hits to who"?

Owls never make love in the rain.
It's too wet to woo.

Don't have any owl pics - so here's my wildlife contribution. I call it "Lazy Buggers Waiting for More Food"

Heres one of me and the kids last year in York.
(We haven't got it in digital format so had to scan it in).
The keepers had a great big massive owl and advised us to move the dog well away as it had its eyes on him. It would have eaten him for breakfat so the wife had to go down the street while we had this pic taken.

aww that's lovely, I couldn't help noticing your children's eyes, your son is looking away as if to say - too close for comfort and your daughter is keeping a watchful eye on the owl - to make sure it behaves no doubt. Lovely photo!

Yes, though she is the youngest she's so confident, nothing bothers her and she was quite happy to let the owl sit on her hand. He, on the hand, is quite timid and didn't want to go near them. We know who's going to be wearing the trousers when they're older.

Well the last picture I posted, ive actually held one of them. The European Eagle Owl is bloody heavy, but amazing to see it fly towards you. I love birds of prey, theres something about them.
It was an Experience with Owls when we went to Center Parcs a couple of years ago. I only had a rubbish phone at the time so the photos were all blurry.
On the crap owl joke theme: What Owl do you find in the kitchen? A Teat-Owl (groan)
