Neither Bill Kenwright (Direcor of Everton FC) nor Nigel Pivaro (journalist) are regular actors these days so they aren't doing a bad job.

Middle aged spread come to most of us, except Fly :)

Could be or depression - he necked his chicken!!  :o  :o Think he may be in for a nervous breakdown myself????? Wish they would hurry up with it though cos I'm getting fed up with the story line now, it's dragging on a bit.
Not sure whats going off in coro next week but it's on every night isn't it as well as BGT (I think).

Truth.
I've hit rock bottom a couple of times over the past 15 years.
Mainly over access to see my kids.
I've never hit the low that Zak seems to have hit.
Thank god for Our_Lass and my forum friends  ;)

Glad Zak's nurse is getting to the bottom of his depression.
The fact he nearly killed his own son, cos he was a bad one (Cain).

Aren't there a couple of 'heavies' after Zak - they were sat waiting in t'Woolpack in last nights episode. Is this anything to do with the bundle of cash he buried on the moors before Cain rescued him?

Could be Alsatian, if that's the case the storyline is again running parallel with the current coro storyline, these two soaps do it a lot!
and Val --- has lost her 'good looks' don't think she ever found em did she  :))

RANT: Bad portrait of a taxi driver on Emmerdale tonight.

I once got a flag fare from Hasland. Wanted to go to Ash Green. (Adult Learning Disability Centre).
When I got there, he'd got no money !
So I got out the taxi, helped him out, locked the taxi, and casually walked him inside to the reception desk.
Explained the situation, and they paid me from petty cash  :)
But advised me to ignore him in the future.  :-X

My thoughts exactly Fly - I know it's supposed to be entertainment, but it ought to reflect reality - I too would hope that any registered taxi driver would have done like you (as I expected to happen in last nights episode).
Title: Re: Emmerdale
Post by: Old Cruser on June 08, 2012, 06:37:30 PM
I thought Zac portrayed as 'sane and stable' on getting into the taxi, so I could understand the driver getting a bit annoyed at first, then as he lost his temper Zac changed and was obviously 'unstable in mind' unfortunately the taxi chap was oblivious to this and had let his anger get the better of him and didn't appear to realise Zac's condition.
I suppose it was a bit like road rage  Yp  (fare rage  Yp)
Happens in real life at times - do you think??? :-\

If Val's scooter was under 50cc she could ride it on a car licence hence no need for L plates. If she did require L plates she would have to do a full day CBT not just go and buy it and ride it.

Yes I know it's only fiction but they should aspire to a bit of accuracy.

Yes I have looked at Rachel's skin many times and it looks darker on some night than on others. She is obviously mixed race as is Jai. Some hot stuff going on, lots of lustings  :-[ who er missus  :)
I also note Emmerdale are running the loan shark story line which Corro ran a few weeks earlier, and of course they have also had their own rampant lovers recently - must be the bloody weather i think!  ;)

What a laugh we had when catching up with Emmerdale last night. We decided if we shut our eyes it sounded like bedroom sounds rather than someone giving birth. Really funny I thought, what with the wedding farce and babies arriving - then Carl just wouldn't lie down and die would he, was something like a horror come thriller when the bady rises to have another go at his victim  :)) Still catching up with Coro!!

Dishy isn't he.
Here is my theory about him on Emmerdale.
I think he will have something like Asbergers they have already brought in his OCD (not that all people with Asbergers have this).
Think back to his mum telling him about when he was a baby and what he was like??
The story line here is being dragged out slowly but it's taking shape a bit like a jigsaw puzzle.
Watch this space folks.

@ JR - I can imagine it is veryy annoying if you don't watch soaps although I watch them I also have a highliter pen and go through the different channels and set recorder - get a back up of different stuff then.

Just as a bye the way - did you watch the making of the Panama Canal - really interesting, will have to book another cruise that way when the larger Lock is completed - it's a brilliant experience!

@CC we watched it and yes it was very interesting, having travelled through it a few years back would love to go back to go through the larger one they are building. The transition takes all day and we were up around 5am to get a good spot. This cruising can be serious stuff  ;) Also went down the Chagres river in Panama to visit a tribe who lived on the river side -- an experience never to be forgotton.

What I didn't realise until we went through it was that each ship is fastened to something like a small train engine each side and the rope is kept tight helping the ship to keep straight, they are also on mini roller coasters and slowly move down the canal alonside the ships - intriguing to watch. Very clever!

Not wanting to sound smart OC.
I've got an 'NVQ 3 in Information System Design and Production.'
C&G2 in C++ Programming.
'O' Level in Computing., Maths, and Physics. 1983 ;-)
And been pretty computer literate since about 1981.

I've bricked the Nexus 7 more times than I can count.
Only had it a fortnight ;-)

One thing I did learn about computers years ago. BACKUP before playing with them :-)

I wrote tongue in cheek Fly  :)
(- but I guess you are getting to know me by now - just can't resist a wind up )
as I know you are pretty good with computers (you could get a night job instructing in computers  ;) )

I did a couple of courses in computing - just to show me how to switch it on  :))

Impressive roll out there though am wondering why you didn't take computing up for a living?

Nice one - you could show help Pete if he ever gets stuck  ;)

Normally I have no problem watching the 'same sex' scenes but this one is making me cringe as Rhona is making a good job of making it clear she really is turned right off by it - she just wants the drugs

Strange twist, she's acting lesbian for her friend and wanting the drugs
Who's taking advantage of who ?

Nice of Ashley to say a prayer. If he hands out a few collection plates and makes a few more speeches, rakes in some dosh.
He'll be able to rent a room some where in the village  8)
Anyone know of a religion that doesn't ask for 'donations' ?

Flipping heck - hubby was well into Emmerdale last night.
Wish I had got the camera, he was red in the face,  horrified look on his face and  his hands clenched -
I did tell him it was only pretend  :))
