T'other year, Swinton quoted us about £280 Fully Comp.
I went on GoCompare, got insured with the AA for £240 ;)
Following year, AA quoted about £260, back on GoCompare,
got it with the Bradford and Bingley for £217 ;)
This year, AA quote £241, B+B quote £240.
Back on GoCompare, got it with QuoteMeHappy.com for £180 ;D
Same cover, lower excess ??

The Competition market driving the price down, partly thanks to small rodents opera singers and cartoon women.
Of course the real crunch comes when you try to claim!!

You get a 'new customer discount'. That's why I swap insurers every year, last week I saved £135.

Never had to claim in nearly 30 years of driving.
I also realise the cheaper quotes have pages of T+C's I can't be bothered to read.
Law says we need to be insured. We are :(
Had a few incidents at work, but I don't pay the insurance :-X

Many companies give you a good deal to join them and then put the price up next year, that is why I change regularly.
There is also some talk about differentiating price on gender grounds becoming illegal which could be good news for (youngish) blokes.
I also read somewhere about black box devices in cars to assess how a car is driven an price insurance accordingly.

Insurance company wanted to fit one to my step sons new Abarth. He told them where they could put it!!
To be honest I don't see the point.
Are they going to turn round and say ah yes according to the box you were doing 32 in a 30 zone at the time of the accident so we aren't going to pay out?

Insurance of young male drivers can run into thousands because some are reckless. It may be worth it for some drivers as making it affordable; worth seeing what T&C say though
