They never actually said they had been lost just 'recovered' from government archives.

It's probably just me, but I'm dubious about all this 9/11 stuff.

It just seems like the FAA lost the planes in the sky cos they turned their transponders off so they became "invisible" to the military,and everyone else. Well planned. Its claimed the "pilots" were trained in the USA allegedly.
I'm still unconvinced about all this as well. I don't doubt the various interviewees in the programme as they were doing their jobs to the best of their abilities, just the fact that there are still conspiracy theories about the whole events that went on that day.
I don't suppose we will ever know if there was a conspiracy - if there was, the US are not going to admit it anyway.
Another pointless,dreadfull loss of lives, which lead to further, pointless,dreadfull loss of lives in subsequent USA retaliation. :( :(
