Title: Back from my holidays!

Back from my week in Benidorm, where it only rained for a couple of hours one afternoon!!  ::)

Hotel was good, we stayed on the top (18th) floor of the smaller building (to the right in the photo), but the food could only be described as average. Would stay again but in a different hotel.

We went in the external glass elevator/lift up to the top (43rd) floor of the taller building and went onto the viewing platform (aka roof!!)

Took off from Alicante airport and flew through an electrical storm  :o

Flying out we had to circle above Alicante airport due to a 'traffic jam', not having enough fuel we had to divert to Valencia to re-fuel. I did suggest to other passengers that we all flap our arms in unison to avoid the re-fuel but no-one seemed interested!!  ;)

My Dad swears this is true....

He and Mum flew to the Algarve. On landing, before the plane had taxied to the terminal lots of passenegers stood up and started to get stuff from the overhead lockers. As it rolled to a halt, over the PA came the announcement "Would passengers please sit down, the Captain can't see to reverse!"

Dad says that everyone immediately sat down...!

That's the next one sorted then!! SWMBO has been scouring the 'net for hours looking for a decent offer in Benidorm (La Cala to be precise) later this year, so I suggested we go into a travel agents just to see what they had to offer.

Called into Ilkeston Co-op travel and within a couple of minutes they'd got a holiday in Benidorm at the Poseidon Playa hotel in October (just the resort/hotel/time we wanted) £320 cheaper than we could get online!!   ;)

Well done!!  8) We have used them for some hols and they can match or beat hols on line, we have our October hol through them. Don't forget the photo's dude.  ;)  8)  8)
