Interesting. If I'm reading this right they haven't resigned over what Nick Clegg is doing nationally but over some local issues. Paul Stone (aka Kris Kanarpo) has I think I'm right in saying had issues with the local party before but I'm surprised at David Stone. Will try and find out what's been going on, unless Slacker has any info?

News to me. David seems to have been absent from a few meetings recently but when I have been on committees with him and found him to be very fair.  Paul has just been appointed deputy mayor.

Interesting timing. I imagine there'll be a by-election in St Helens ward soon - the Lib Dems will get hammered, these two resignations from the party won't help them one little bit.

Apparently he is a professional stuntman and his stage name is Kris Kanarpo. He puts it on the ballot papers.

He'd have to be a stuntman to be in the LibDems today.
