I would have really pissed you off then, I used to take my Mum shopping and park in a P&C space, she was 90+ and I was in my 50s. To her, I was still her 'Little Boy'  :)

What is it with morons that have to use the parent and child spaces for no reason what so ever.  Leaving those of us with children scouring for a space that has enough room at the side to get the pushchair alongside in order to get the baby out of their seat and int the pram.   >:(

I swear, one day Ill just hitch up an offending vehicle to the tow bar and drag them out.  Hopefully one day they will find themselves in need of a parent and child space, and find them full of tossers doing just the same as they did.

As a parent of 2 little uns, I couldn't agree more. Its such a pain trying to get them to sit in their seats and fasten the belts with one hand, while using the other hand to hold the car door so as to prevent it hitting the car next to you, because all the parent bays have been taken.
The other irritant is that there are  as many disabled bays as parent bays, when logic tells you there ought to be a lot more parents out there than disabled people.

I have had the same kind of problem at cineworld where parents use the disabled blue badge places to pick up/drop off their children, why can't they bl00dy well walk round the corner to the back!!
When I mentioned it to a security chap he told me as the bays were orange and not blue - they couldn't do anything about it  ::) perdantic or what!!
Totally agree with you C/Chris and know just how annoyed you must feel  >:(

I took my disabled Dad for a hospital appointment last week. All the disabled spaces were full but I noticed that four of the cars in them had men stood nearby having a smoke. We had to park in one of the few empty spaces at the far end of the car park which happened to be near the security office where I mentioned the four smokers; a big ugly security guy went to sort them out...

It happens the other way round regular at KFC Drakehouse i see 1 car parked most Sundays in the disabled bay its a mother with young kids, why not treat everbody the same let mothers with toddlers apply for a badge like the disabled one for the one off fee like the disabled badge then they could use shared bays anybody not displaying  photo badge would be fined.

The other issue with Parent and child spaces is that they tend to be in 'secure' locations ie where if the kids run off they won't run into the path of other cars.

People speeding is another issue in supermarket carparks.
Especially the big Tesco in town. There's a zebra at each end.
But not in the middle where most people walk out in-between parked cars.  :(

As a grandparent I find it annoying. Whilst there is legislation about provision of disabled places there isn't about parent and child ones. Businesses ought to clarify with notices that they are for kids that need helping into the car particularly if they are still in pushchairs and child seats. This way people can at least embarrass those who use them for their 12 year olds.
