Same here, although SWMBO doesn't allow me black pudding as, since having my gall bladder out, I - sorry she - have to watch my fat intake (that's not a large area of Sheffield!) :(
-
I like black pud fried or cold on bread with salt on :o yummy
-
I'm with OC. I love them both individually but haven't tried the combined effect. I reckon it could catch on :)

It's getting to me :-\
Or was it the sandwich ;D

The last time I had black pudding was when we ate out at Coco Bar Bistro - and it was exceptional.
Never buy the stuff as 'er indoors is a veggie and black pudding is at the top of her list of things folks shouldn't eat...

Has anyone else tried the battered black pudding at Chester's chip restaurant? Yuuummmmy!!!
-
The black pud in question came from Tesco in Clowne ;)
They sell the link variety on the Deli counter, you just buy a piece as big or small as you want.
There's next to no white fat in it, one of the reasons I like it.
And it's pretty cheap ;)

I prefer haggis. O/H didn't like it despite coming from Scotland but I had it for breakfast in Peebles a couple of years back, bought one for Burn's Night (Halls from Tesco) and now she really likes it - but I insist it has to be eaten with a wee dram or two of whisky ;)
-
Only tried Haggis once. That too, was 'bought' from Tesco. Not sure what Brand.
Fk'in horrible :P Blaaa !!
Not a big fan of whiskey either :P
-
I should hope not - whiskey is Irish, whisky is Scottish!
-
Is not the spelling Whiskey American. Probably Irish Americans :))

I have tried Haggis once at a pub on Burns Night and enjoyed it. Don't like whisky - got drunk on it one Christmas Eve (16 years old ::) :-[) never touched it since
@ C/Chris Yes i have tried the deep fried Mars Bar from the Bakewell chippy - didn't like it though.
