Feel free to delete this or move it.
Just wondered how many would agree with this being done in our country?
Go Dutch - but why wait until 2013?
The Netherlands, where six per cent of the population is now Muslim, is scrapping multiculturalism.
The Dutch government says it will abandon the long-standing model of multiculturalism that has encouraged Muslim immigrants to create a parallel society within the Netherlands.
A new integration bill, which Dutch Interior Minister Piet Hein Donner presented to parliament on June 16, reads: "The government shares the social dissatisfaction over the multicultural society model and plans to shift priority to the values of the Dutch people.
In the new integration system, the values of the Dutch society play a central role.
With this change, the government steps away from the model of a multicultural society.
The letter continues: "A more obligatory integration is justified because the government also demands that from its own citizens.
It is necessary because otherwise the society gradually grows apart and eventually no one feels at home anymore in the Netherlands. The new integration policy will place more demands on immigrants. For example, immigrants will be required to learn the Dutch language, and the government will take a tougher approach to immigrants who ignore Dutch values or disobey Dutch law.
The government will also stop offering special subsidies for Muslim immigrants because, according to Donner;
"It is not the government's job to integrate immigrants." (How bloody true).
The government will introduce new legislation that outlaws forced marriages and will also impose tougher measures against Muslim immigrants who lower their chances of employment by the way they dress.
More specifically, the government will impose a ban on face-covering, Islamic burqas as of January 1, 2013.
Holland has done that whole liberal thing, and realised - maybe too late - that creating a nation of tribes will kill the nation itself.
The future of Australia, the UK and Canada may well be read here.
READERS NOTE: Muslim immigrants leave their countries of birth because of civil and political unrest "CREATED BY THE VERY NATURE OF THEIR CULTURE."
Countries like Holland Canada the UK and Australia have an established way of life that actually works, so why embrace the unworkable? If Muslims do not wish to accept another culture, the answer is simple;
"STAY WHERE YOU ARE!!"
This gives a whole new meaning to the term; 'Dutch Courage' - Unfortunately Australian UK and Canadian politicians don't have the ... guts to do the same. There's a whole lot of truth here!!!!
ELECTION 2013 IS COMINGA Nation of Sheep, Breeds a Government of Wolves!I'M 100% for PASSING THIS ON!!!
Let's Take a Stand!!!

Where did this come from? Who is responsible for this? Looks like EDL propaganda to me.
-
Funnily enough it's been debunked on the EDL Website
quote
This is a myth created by some blogger that found a year old document put together by the NL government. For some reason a number of other bloggers have then posted the same and noone bothered to check how valid the source is. Sorry but the Dutch have done (expletive deleted) all since.
No Surrender!

Had it sent to me Pete, wasn't sure if it was right - but it is on the internet --- so is it just propaganda then? Just delete it if you think it is

I find this sort of thing quite interesting. Someone gets hold of a "story", adds a bit to it and fires it out on the web to wind us all up. I'm sure some folks will agree with some bits, but at the end of the day it's just an elaborate scam.
eg http://bit.ly/LtW7fg (http://bit.ly/LtW7fg)
I don't think we need to remove it - let people make of it what they will - we may be a bit daft at times, but we're not stupid.
-
Yes I remember that post Pete it didn't wind me up and neither has the one I posted, it made me think though - how many people in the uk would agree and welcome some of what is being 'supposedly' proposed? In our current clime we have a very unsettled country - or is it just me that thinks we have??
-
>> In our current clime we have a very unsettled country - or is it just me that thinks we have??
Good point - I think the press is quick to jump on any story that involves immigration and/or muslims. They blow the story up out of all proportion cos it sells newspapers.
Just to nail my colours to the mast - so both sides can have a pop if they want to - as an atheist/agnostic I don't have any truck with any religion - and I am against any form of tribalism. So when I hear of anyone in the UK breaking the law because of whichever "guy in the sky" they believe in, I get a bit p1ssed off. When I hear of any serious crime related to religion/tribalism I get very angry, ie, when I read about honour killings, female circumcision, forced arranged marriages, children punished for being witches, etc, my first instinct is "not in the UK thank you very much".
-
@ Pete I think on very much the same lines as you, have no problem with other cultures at all, but don't like the idea of bringing 'some' of their cultural ways here' such as the not so nice ones you have pointed out.
-
Personally I'm with Pete on the athiest/agnostic bit.
Presuming that the laws of a country, are mainly related to 'the' religion of that country,
I can't go and live in Dubai, and snog my bird on the beach.
Therefore people shouldn't be able to burn kids as witches in this country. It's err, illegal :-X

Pretty much agree generally.
On the issue of multiculturalism though, not as described in the OP, I thought it had already been discredited by many, including the main parties in this country.
The intention is that we, (we being whoever the home country is), allow foreigners to come and settle as part of our country.
The reality is that said foreigners choose not to integrate, and you end up with communities that are, as an example, all Muslim, with no English people. Within this community, the wives particularly learn no English, the young are not allowed to have relationships with people outside that community, and for all intents and purposes, you have a mini Pakistan within Birmingham, Sheffield, London or wherever. (And this makes it easier for dodgy situations to arise such as the recent muslim/peadophile ring, to go on unnoticed by the wider community).
So there isn't really multiculturalism in the form of different cultures mixing, you just have one culture taking over an area that was formerly another culture.
That's why there have been supposed measures to make sure that immigrants can speak / read English and so on...but to get a truly integrated society isn't going to happen overnight and will take generations in my opinion.
-
English ? I presume you mean the language for the country the immigrant has been given acces to ;)
Trouble is, when people enter a country, they think they have their own god given right to Human Right's, should the country not like the immigrants demands.
They shouldn't be given these right's if they are not in their own country.
I can't go to Dubai and snog my bird on the beach. Head shake Barry.
Don't do it, respect 'their' rules.
Males: Ever tried getting on a train or taxi in Spain without a shirt or vest on.
It's a NO ! Not sure if this is religion or a cleanliness reason though :)

My illustrious employers run a service 43 bus from Chesterfield to Sheffield and back via Dronfield. One particular run requires a double decker because of high demand. Its usually full, both decks, and people standing. The only white person on the bus is usually the driver. The passengers all have Sheffield Student Cards so only have to pay 60p fare. They get off at Gunstone's bakery.
Thats fine I guess.
However it has been known for a couple of H.M. Immigration Officers to be on the bus, and, if the story I was told is true, many of these passengers when they find out,for want of a better phrase,"leg it"
So the one's who leg it should not be here presumably, or certainly have something to hide.
Yet Sheffield City Council have given them Student Discount Cards, Gunstones have employed them, so we must know who they are, maybe not where they live now. May be that there visa's have expired and they should not still be in the country.
Conversely, theres a very nice bloke works in our local "ethnically owned" shop - yes I know weve all got one - and he was telling me he has got to go back to India soon because his Visa expires soon.
I disagree with immigrants not integrating - this is not a new thing by the way. I remember as a kid going with Mum & Dad to bowling alley at Firth Park in Sheffield (Mum bowled for Derbyshire at the time - bloody good she was too), and Dad always used to say we are going through little india now. Can't remember where specifically that was in Sheffield.
It would not bother me if my next door neighbour was Indian, Pakistani, Jamaican ..whatever, but it would worry me if I was the only English surrounded by them.
I mean we allow, encourage them even to build their Mosques (if you have seen the one at Heeley Bottom, it is a thing of beauty, but, could an English community in say a Muslim country be allowed to build a church of worship?
Perhaps a silly question, because I think religion is dying on its feet anyway, but you understand what I am saying.
I know its been going on for many years, but it does feel strange going to somewhere like Nottingham for example, and thinking "theres not many white folks about"
By the way, lets just not talk about Indians, pakistanis - -the Eastern European Mafia are well and truly here as well apparently.
-
I doubt very much if we would be allowed an English Church in a Muslim country Scimitar. Our English religion is as you saying 'dying' largely in my opinion because they haven't 'moved with the times' although some are now trying I belive --- too late! People have moved from the Churches, Sunday is no longer a day of rest and families go out together but not to Church. The Muslims however appear to be still very committed to their faith and so will be stronger in this unity, they also still have larger families whilst we now tend to have one or two children, the result is that in time the Britain will be predominantly Muslim and other cultures (just my opinion)
I agree with the fact that if other cultures want to live here then they should be prepared to live by our rules, not given benefits but made to earn their keep and respect in the UK - and I know many do! Their religion is another thing entirely and we need to respect that - as long as it's not harming anyone or anything.
Complicated at times isn't it.

Poss. Attercliffe/Staniforth Road?
-
More likely to be Fir Vale if you were driving from Chesterfield.

Totally agree.
Ask anybody in Sheffield who lives where.
Darnall - Pakistan.
Broomhill - Somali.
Tinsley - East Europe.
Firvale - India.
But it is not just immigrants
Manor Park - Scrotes ;)
Dore and Totley - Posh folks.

it is quite disrespectful to go to a shop, drive, etc, etc , without a shirt. Both for men and women. Only hooligans do that :P
-
We are visiting Dubai this year and when there I always dress differently to what I would in Spain. I have taken time for the outward journey to choose a dress which is smart but not revealing in anyway. Not everyone bothers though but I just think it respectful. Same when we went to India although I didn't like the scarf when we visited places of worship - made me hot! (Good excuse for a shop though ladies ;) )
-
Ofcourse I don't disagree with multiculturalism , I just disagree when one culture takes over an area and doesn't welcome others.
I don't socialise with Spanish people over here. I live in England.
