Started off as a comment about Elton John concert an ended up as a homophobic rant by a bible basher. Son'y think it's on the DT website yet but I'm sure it will provoke replies.
-
Link?
-
Only seen in paper, as my post should have read but something appears to have gone wrong
-
I couldn't find it in the paper :(

q? You been drinking LOL ;)
-
My computer has broken and I haven't got spellcheck on here
-
I wasn't pulling your spelling down Andy ;)
Just the fact nobody can find the story you posted about lol

The letter's on page 8. Complains that people paid to watch a guy sing songs he wrote 40 years ago. And Charles Wesley wrote "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" just the other week, I suppose. Not overt homophobia, as I read it, but plenty of religious tosh and warnings as the the hellfire and damnation that awaits anyone who might be tempted to go round shagging a member of the same sex.
-
How do I find page 8 from here ?

First, they have to publish pages one to seven.
-
The battery's in the tail section, and the tail section's missing lol 8)

Spend 70p you tight **** ;D

I bought it, I read it, he's a nutter.
I'm surprised they ran it.
Not worth getting your knickers in a twist about, if you ask me.
-
I think the DT is getting more dependent on interaction rather than reporters whether it be the letters page, Facebook or Twitter
-
Yer probably right.
-
I found it last night.
The point with this that
A - the churches failed to 'move with the times for years' whilst the majority of the population moved forward with our changing ways. Had the church been more 'on the ball' with this instead of wanting to keep things as they have been for the last thousands of years people would probably carried on attending.
B The passage in the Bible regarding the 'gay community' is disputed within the religions as to how it should read and the meaning behind it, this is why some will be ok with the gay marriages and others not.
The person who wrote the article is clearly homophobic and as stated on here a 'bible basher'
I my self firmly believe that there are many fornicated people involved in the churches of religions and don't practise indoors what they preach to the rest of us.

I always wondered whatever happened to Arthur Brown.
-
Maybe burned
-
I must have looked through the DT 4 times, and couldn't see the article.
Mentioned it to our_lass this morning, she picked up the DT and turned straight to the page :-[
So, after reading said article, IMHO, the man's a barking idiot :))
