Two down, two to go. Will try and get some video, if it doesn't rain too much.
-
Does this mean you have to buy an outside light now? Maybe you can blag one off the demolition people. Went up St Margarets yesterday and it looks very open at the back of you gaff
-
They've pulled them all down except one. I was told that the last one will come down in a couple of weeks when all the demolition is complete, but there will be tv cameras etc for the last one.
-
Pete, you're a star man. I read your post and got there just in time for the last one today:

If I'd have hung on to your phone number, you would have had a bit more time...
Thank goodness you got it - my camera isn't great and my video is crap - the brightness of the sky bleached out the actual towers...
-
Be really strange to not see them in the skyline anymore.

Nice video Stuart ;)
Pity Sean Goldsmith/PeakFm didn't give you credit for it on their website !

Where's that, then? (A small credit to improve awareness of the history-gathering work being done would be helpful.) I must confess that it's not a link that falls out of my "favourites" folder.

He posted it on his blog within an hour of you putting it on youtube and posting on this forum.
The forum has twitter feeds and facebook feeds, Seans a member of this forum.
I feel rather let down by him ::)
I got him to sign up on the forum :-[

In fairness Fly, you can stop other folks from hot-linking it to their sites. The standard YouTube agreement is to allow others to use the videos, so he did not do "wrong" as such. But I do agree when a commercial news outlet jumps on an item that quick, a hat tip the content provider would've been nice.

Hat tip to Stuart ;)
-
Not from you, you daft bugger, from Sean...
Tsk - you can't get the staff you know :P
-
And to be fair, I was in a bit of a rush to make sure I'd covered all the obvious "social Media" type outlets that I didn't actually mention the club's heritage group itself on anywhere.
-
Why don't you start a thread about it - you may get some piccies or stories.

To be fair Stuart got the video, I only posted on here it was happening. My attempt at videoing failed miserably... :-[
-
But you tipped him off didn't you?
-
Just seen on PeakFm's facebook post. Sean has credited Stuart for the video.
See the final floodlight fall at Saltergate thanks to Stuart Basson - amazing little video
Quack quack oops, there's still one there ;D

Yes, when I walked past Saturday morning I spotted it and thought that they obviously didn't dig all the roots out, as it's re-grown overnight!!! Yp

Looks strange now :)

They're cracking on with the building now. Only last week they finished the demolition, but we can already see foundations, trenches and even some walls going up.
It's going to be weird to see houses where the ground was.
