Title: End of the line for RIM?
Post by: Pete on June 29, 2012, 06:16:20 PM
TBH, ever since the iPhone came out I was surprised that folks still bought the Blackberry.

It now looks like the smartphone, in all it's flavours, has finally bitten them on the bum.

However, its built-in private network made it the phone of choice during the London riots, and presumably made a fave with gang members, but even that was not enough…

End of the line? I can't see any reason for choosing a Blackberry over a smartphone.

I cant see the point of them for personal use.  Ive got a Nokia and it can get emails, make calls, text, browse internet.

I think they should be business use only.

Got an O2 XDA Orbit, not the best phone on the market, It's yonks old  ::)
But does what I want. I'm not prepared to pay for 'better' when this one serves me well.

I've got a phone I bought for £4.99 from work. It makes phone calls and sends texts. What more do I need?
