Just explain to me how the people advertising these can continue and get away with it? let me guess, if it challenged then they would claim racial discrimination.
If I put an advert in a shop wanting to rent my house out and put "white british only", what would happen? Id more than likely get a knock from the police and be summoned to court to explain myself and end up with a criminal record. It seems to me that they think it only works one way, we can be classed as racist to them but not the other way around.
An extreme version could be introduced, if we call someone from Japan a 'Jap' is that racist towards them even though its part of the countrys name? How about if I claimed racist abuse if someone called me a 'Brit'?

Quite right of course.
However, even if the adverts were legal, the owners would still discriminate on the grounds of race, sex etc.
Don't see how you get round it on that basis :(

Quite simple this one Simon.
It avoids all racist, religious arguments.
Don't advertise any possible fails. pet's, kid's, smoker's, white, black, etc.
Arrange a viewing, ask them the above 'obvious', questions C:-) Yeh, I'm black O0
Tell them you'll be in touch.
If you don't like the viewers of 'your' property,
get back in touch and tell them they weren't succesful in their application.
Simples ;)
'You', don't need to explain to them why they were declined the place.
