He used to come to depot at stonegravels (bus depot) with Ben in a horsebox. The trailer you saw at the market was kept overnight at the depot.
Maybe have some breakfast in our canteen with the bus drivers, whilst Ben was munching on grass outside.
And then, they would plod up Sheffield Rd in to town centre.
Met him a couple of times and he seemed a nice bloke.
Its nice that they took Ben to see him at Clay Cross hospital before he died.

Been stuck behind him times many coming up/down Sheff Rd over the years !!
But I'd only overtake if I had a total clear view ahead.
I respected the horse's welfare too, sad loss, condolences to his family :(

Funny image from my memories of Mums taking kiddies up to Ben to feed him carrots/pat him on the nose whatever, just as he decides to take a big wee, and everyone backs off to avoid the ensuing splatter. :)

Yes, but that was Ben, not Thomas ;)
Respect :)
