In respond to Jon's recent question the waterfall outside Baslow was flowing well when I went past a few minutes ago

Thanks for that, I'd hate to think something had happened and it had gone for good.

Given the answer that was given 'in another place' about the notion that the Chatsworth estate could open some sort of flow gate which feeds the fall I wonder if it comes from the same ponds that feed the cascade in the grounds of the House and is a prevention measure for somewhere getting flooded.
