Apparently John Sheridan is no longer team boss at Chesterfield F.C.
He signed a new contract at the end of last season, and apparently remains an employee of the club.
Tommy Wright is being given a chance to prove himself in the meantime.
Only 8 wins in the last 40 competetive league games.
Good move??

In Short...Yes.
Though his Philosophy is right, It seems he cant apply it.
Plus reading between the lines, there seems to be a bit more to this than meets the eye.
-
What's his new role, cleaning the bogs?
Bring in Nicky Law
-
Puul Ince's name being mentioned by football pundit Alan Biggs on Twitter.
seems Tommy Wright is going to be given his chance though.

9 months too late.
No other club gets promoted and then actually weakens its team.
-
I'm with Kent, there's something fishy me thinks :-\
-
Board gave him a new contract to 2014/5 at end of last season.
Pillocks. And let him bring in the players he wanted.
And then decide after 8 wins in 40 league matches he is not up to the job.
The (Sheffield Wednesday) Board Mk 2 need to hold themselves responsible for this.
Makes you wonder what the primary focus at this new and wonderful stadium is - football or Elton John & the like? >:(

football or Elton John & the like
Elton John & the like :P
Have I not said similiar all along, the stadium is making money, the backers are happy.
The football comes 2nd. IMHO ;)

In order to protect myself, Pete and Fly I fully intend to lace this post with the words allegedly, supposedly, reportadly etc etc.
On the various message boards and social media sites there are two schools of thought flying round. The first is that in the new contract Sheridan signed there is no severance clause. Thus technically CFC have to pay him up to the end of that contract. Thus he is on gardening leave until they can agree a muutually agreeable settlement.
The other version (this is where the allegedlys etc etc come in) He is on 'Gardening leave' whilst an investigation is held into breaching club discipline rules. If these can be made to stick then they can sack him without paying him off. Various allegations are coming out including (reportedly allegedly supposedly maybe possibly) Gambling and Alcohol.

Have heard similar and that his man management skills leave a lot to be desired.
Dyche is a name being bandied about but I guess there isn't the budget for another manager salary.
-
Dyche, Laws, Worthington, Robins, Nicky Law to name but a few

Nothing wrong with hearsay JR ;)
