Quoted from a post on Facebook:
Nick Clegg has got to be the Patron Saint of Wankers, he had his chance to stand against the Tories when he was part of the Coalition and charge English Students Zero to go to University - but such was his lust for power, he sold out! Now hes calling on a Tax to 'Get the Rich' dont trust this Man (if you can call him that) he is and always will be a waste of space !!!
Thought someone on here had already said taxing the super rich wouldn't work.

A good soundbite but will he disband the coalition if the Tories won't go along?
-
What would happen if they don't ?
Forced election, what's Clegg going to do then, make a coalition with Labour if need be ?
Purely questions, I'm not big on politics as you well know ;)

Taxes on gross wealth would produce very arbitrary results, but taxing net wealth would be an invitation for tax avoidance schemes.
That was my thinking, the rich will hide their stash, so a pointless venture.
