Title: Government screws up and wastes £40m...
Post by: Pete on October 03, 2012, 11:09:31 AM
"Transport secretary Patrick McLoughlin said the mistakes were 'deeply regrettable and unacceptable'."

The bidding process for rights to the franchise for West Coast Rail turns out be seriously flawed and the government is to pay out £40 million in compensation...

Just another sign of incompetance by Dave and his inept pals at a time when we need to be frugal with finances?

At least McLoughlin has taken responsibility for the screw up and admitted is was his department's fault. A rare politician these days.

Off topic...  ;)

If Labour was in now, it would be a different question.

>> Richard Branson, one of these vile, profiteering, capitalist pigs

Oi! He's one of my heroes - leave him alone.
