Title: Christmas traffic, Aagghhh !!

I know today was a market day.

Can't wait to be sat in traffic as the week progresses closer to xmas  :(

Finishing about 2pm Friday. Sod it.
Visiting family. Family and friends always come before work  :)
It's nice to be in a position where we tell the boss when we're working.

Tuesday, had a good start, then it died.
Wed, just slow all day.
Today, couldn't wait to come home.

Why do people come to town in their cars, then queue to get into a carpark  ???

It was a nightmare late morning, took longer from Town Hall to the end of Markaham Road than it did for the rest of the journey to South Normanton.

I hadn't realised that hackneys are legally obliged to go shortest route rather than quickest without permission from the passenger.

Any decent Hackney driver would 'talk' to the customer and explain.
If I get stuck in traffic for half hour, it's going to cost you ?6 more. 20p per min.
If I drive the long way round and avoid the traffic, say, an extra 2 miles, it'll cost you ?3 more. ?1.50 per mile.
Your choice  :)

I only did 3 1/2hours in town today, 5 fares.  :D Love my regular customers who throw tenners at me  ;)

You'd probably find the elderly people give you more cash this time of year.
The people you've helped all year long with their bags when they get home etc.
They are our regular customers.

They don't go to the front of the rank. They come to me our Our_Lass. Ask Gert  ;)
Current legislation says they don't have to.  ;)
Do I feel guilty, picking up from behind somneone else. Answer, NO
