Title: Patrick Moore Dies
Post by: Pete on December 09, 2012, 01:04:38 PM
British astronomer and broadcaster Sir Patrick Moore has died at his home at the age of 89.

What a great old chap he was, apart from fronting the longest running tv show, The Sky at Night, he appeared on many programs playing the xylophone and generally being a nice bloke with a great sense of humour.

RIP

He brought astronomy to the masses. He also mapped the moon from his own telescope which NASA later used to map the moon landings.
RIP Patrick :(
