Title: TV over Christmas
Post by: Old Cruser on December 15, 2012, 09:02:39 PM
What are the programmes you want to watch most over Christmas.
I think the Royal family is on so that's on my list.

Don't watch the soaps or Downton.
So that rules out watching ITV on Christmas Day.
Will record Dr Who and Strictly for later viewing.
Haven't come across a single film I want to see on 'terrestrial' TV
All in All a load of Castlemaine xxxx

I've hardly watched any tv for the past couple of weeks but, after studying the TV Times, it would appear that most of the Christmas programmes are ones which have been dredged out for the last umpteen years.

The only thing I've really enjoyed this Xmas (because it made me laugh so much) was "An audience with Ken Dodd."
I know I've seen it before, more than once, but it still made me laugh - not much does nowadays.
Officially a Grumpy Old Git.
Doddy's 85 yrs old and still going strong bless him. Must be proof that exercising your Chuckle Muscle is good for you :)

@CC it's many years since my daughter was the age your son is but I still remember that for her first three Christmas's she was ill, I was knackered through lack of sleep --- but then it got better and better, and yes - you are right give him a couple of years and you will have lots of fun with him.

I am confused by your term - magic
Are you comparing it to something that Paul Daniels would do ??

@ PepsiP magic is a word of our times which is used instead of  wonderful A few years ago people would have said it was wonderful - now people say it was magic.
You use the word Dude this is also a new word which is now being used by people as is awsome We now have a lot of new words being used every day which were not used a few years ago - that's the way it is  :)

Old Cruser, don't even bother with this guy and what he says.  The expression "I were" is not correct, (see his previous posts)  the correct saying is "I was".  He even says that a word is wrong, look in the dictionary and see that the word everyone exists.

Yes I know it exists Mycul pepsiP just gets his words and thoughts mixed up

We need to put him on the dark side with Dawn. Debbyd or Lucygen or whatever she is calling herself nowadays.

TBH Mick, I still follow the old forum and, in fairness, Lucygen hasn't had any problems there for over a year now.

I think the splitting into two has been exactly right for most of us - even Sapient remarked last week that CF was now the forum he always wanted.

We have our "snug" forum for gossip and a little sillyness and Chris has his respectable "Old Chesterfield History" forum and I see no reason for any animosity now. Let's put it all behind us now, it's over a year since the split, and just get on with our lives.

Peace. :)

What happened to the new series.
It jumped from 1 of 8, to 4 of 8, or have me and her been in a time warp ?

Me and Mr B have tickets for the Mrs Brown's tour when it lands at Motorpoint Arena.  Trouble is we have to wait 11 months as its next December!   :(
