Title: Chesterfield Online - The first year
Post by: Pete on December 27, 2012, 02:10:53 PM
As it has now been one year since we started, I had a look at some statistics. The first surprise was that we have had well over a million page views in the year - not bad for a new forum with only 20 or so regular posters.

Here's the data:

Forum launched 14 December 2011

Total Members 618
Active Members in 2012 - 70
Total number of Topics - 2,275
Total number of Posts - 15,860
Average Posts per day 43.01
Number of page views so far this year 1,137,754
Largest number of people online (22nd August) at the same time was 112
Top poster - Fly with 2,942 posts

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to our success, but specifically Flyboy for being our top poster, for starting the most new threads and generally being the living heart of these forums. Also OC as our fourth most prolific poster despite not being a long term member of CF before Chesterfield Online was born.

Not forgetting Emmz, Aitch, Gert and poppy for representing the fairer sex and putting up with some of the lads', err, less than civilised ramblings and disgraceful language... ::)

Hopefully we can grow again in 2013 without losing the "community" feel of the place and still provide somewhere to pop in, have a chat and generally hang out with a bunch of good people.

Once again, thanks for contributing to our first year online and a Happy New Year to you all. :)

The statistics don't prove anything but a lot of recent posts prove we should only have 617 members!!!

To be fare, your husband may simply have meant, when the next social gathering were.
Not limiting it to christian members.  There could be a gathering for the Jewish members
celebrating hanukkah.  Just an example for a p!$$up !!!

To be fair, we don't need any religious excuse for a p!ss-up.  :)) :)) :))

@ Pepsiperfect it wasn't just for Christian members just a gathering of forum members to have a drink - time of year - well maybe because Christmas is the time of year when people have longer holidays from work (well some do) and they just tend to go out and make time for socialising - boozing hasn't anything to do with the religious sense of Christmas in my book.
