Does anyone know where Orchard Row was in Carr Vale, before it was demolished.  I was born there in the late 1960s and wondered where it had been.

Didn't think much had changed there in that time. Couldn't find it just having a quick look here

Hi Stanwaylass, Orchard Row was where the current housing association bungalows are called Orchard View at the bottom of Sherwood Street.
Before the bungalows it was an open grass area where kids played, fought and made up :)
There used to be local fetes and galas held on there too mainly in conjunction with the nearby Working Men's Club (now closed)

I knew about Orchard View, all the old maps I looked at this morning had that area down as Carr Vale Cottages  :)

I contacted him this morning.
He's confirmed Seanant's location of Orchard Row.
It was one of the rows marked in red.
