They should be hung - or at the least castrated.

I don't Chris. I've worked for most of my life. I'll probably work for the rest of it and never get a pension.
It's types like this that cost the UK millions a year. What's the alternative. Wages are so low, gov pay them more.
That's always been my argument. But who wants to work for less than doing nothing. Me and the missus do.
Do you realise that if my back goes, and I cant work. We can claim for everything we can't now.
Rent. Council tax etc. Trouble is, I'd be bored, or work on the side. not legal obviously.
But still better off. Where are all the jobs these people are supposed to be doing.
More to the point, why do it if your better off on benefits ?

It's very sad when evil idiots do things like this, poor kids.
-
Tragic loss of life regardless, though it does look like something went wrong with a plan :(

Like you Fly I have worked all my life since 15yrs, am still working at 63yrs (more because i enjoy what I do though these days ;))
We shouldn't lump all people on benefits as the same workshy, lazy lumps as some are - and we all know there are some! They make me cross as well, because it is these people who have created this situation - but they have been allowed too haven't they and it has gone on for years.
I was told the other day by a young disabled woman that her grandma says 'she is too young to be disabled' What a load of twaddle!
I have cared for babies and children who have been profoundly disabled and with limited life expectancy - it's heart breaking!
Never mind though they can move a finger and press one button - so lets send them out to work.
This needs to be dealt with with realism and it hasn't been - get the lazy ones back to work, help the ones who want to work and help them to find work.
Lets be sensible in the expectations eh :-*

Disabled, incapacitated, elderly or infirm, society should support. Workshy, then go bloody hungry.
Thank you Chris we speak the same tongue ;)
-
Would agree with Chris's first sentence if it wasn't for the fact that the kids suffer not just the idle parent
-
That's trues enough Slacker but the social services step in

;D ;D
You see my point though. There was a woman ages ago on Look North saying she couldnt afford this and that. One the wall was a massive flat screen TV and a Sky box underneath. Priorities eh?
Makes me sick.

Unfortunately many people who have low incomes or on benefits seem to shop for things which they can't afford - same goes for the plastic cards though Simon, people even with higher paid jobs can't resist using them for buying items they can't afford.
Surprising how many we also see buying the scratch cards - chasing the elusive jackpot I suppose because the have no money.
Strange old world isn't it

It's in all walks of life, not just the low paid (may have mentioned before - apologies if so) - when I became a manager at AGD the first question one manager asked me was "when are you buying a bigger house?". Why? My family hasn't suddenly increased, nor have my needs.
So often people need to 'show' their wealth and try to impress others!

Alsatian I learned that from an early age - the people 'with' money were very ordinary (didn't need to speak powsh etc - but the people who 'pretended' they 'had' money thought they were the bees knees -
I once remember a lady asking me if we had any 'batter?' I got very confused (doesn't take much ;) ;D ) it turns out she was asking for BUTTER! Silly moo!!
