Yes and Blockbusters is making more reduntant :(
-
Thought they'd already closed. They have in Chesterfield ?
-
Yes but I think they are shutting more - according to the news anyway :(
-
I was watching the news last night and a 'talking head' described Republic and companies like it as being in the 'squeeze zone'. The inference being that although you might go in the shop you rarely bought anything because they were not at the cheap end of the market (Primark etc) nor did they have any label cred which allowed them to charge inflated prices (Zara Superdry Jack Wills etc)
-
From what I've heard people used to brag about buying expensive clothes now in times of austerity they are more likely to tell people if they've bagged a bargain, hence popularity of Primark
-
Must admit we don't use primark but I suppose if needs must - we would.
Hubby had a sweater bought as a gift from there and it actually proved to be very good, didn't shrink or go baggy so we were impressed

Ive had quite a lot of stuff from Primani over the years. I used to buy work shirts from there for about £3 each. Suitable when your elbows rubbed on the desk day (from working on a computer before any smart arse twists it ! ;)) and wore them out.

Same here - plus I also used to buy their suit trousers (cost around £8 IIR) - when they start to look shabby threw 'em away and bought new! :)
My only gripe is that their shortest leg length is 30", and I'm 29" at best!!
