Im a little confused as to how this actually works.
So some power stations are being decomissioned soon due to being inefficient or too polluting, that then reduces the energy output so we have to import energy which in turn pushes up bills.
Are we actually a third world country where we cant even supply our energy needs so we have to buy in?
Apparently energy companies but about 2 years in advance so by rights, they should be able to tell us accurately the price per unit we will be paying in say August 2014, but yet they make shit loads of profit and increase prices when winter comes along and then pretend they are doing us a favour when the weather gets warmer by reducing prices.
3 months ago, one company was making about £45 profit per year on the average bill. The prices went up and they are now making £120 profit.
And yet they still tell us we are getting a good deal.

What puzzles me is why no political party will take these people on? Bunch of greedy ****s as far as I can see.
