I see he's managed to open his mouth and put his foot in it again - is it time he was muzzled when he's allowed out in public?!

That made me laugh when I first read it, the Prince won't change now Alsatian - probably get worse with his age :).
He sure puts his foot in it doesn't he - but he was right! They are either nursing here or marrying older men here ;)

Thing is though, if you or i said it, we would be charged with some kind of offence.

That was my point - even given his age, were a 'common man' at his age say the same thing, it would still be deemed unacceptable.
-
LOL

It's surprising how many of our senior citizens are racist or use words which are now deemed poloitically incorrect - it's what they were brought up with - I suppose the Prince is no exemption although I agree he should know better
-
I hear it all the time with the more elderly customers.
God knows what they say if they actually travel with some of the Chezzy taxi drivers ;D
-
I don't think any malice was intended - lets face it, he's been around the world more than all of us put together.
My Wife & Son have both had many Phillipino colleagues (not NHS either), and have been quite happy to work with them, because they ARE prepared to work, unlike some " home grown" people in fact - it shames me to say :(
-
Lets face it - it's time they retired him. Old folks can say anything.
-
Yep! I'm old and I do ::)
-
It's not about whether it's right or wrong, it's about being tactful! It's not beyond the realms of possibility that what he says can be taken as racist.
-
I would be surprised if his remark was made racially - he just opens his mouth and says what he would were he in private
-
He's quite right all these foreigners who weren't born here should bugger off back home!!
Prince Phillip of Greece and Denmark
Born: 10 June 1921 (age 91)
Birthplace: Mon Repos, Corfu, Greece
;D >;

They come over here, marrying our Princesses...
-
Exactly!!
Just as an aside I used to have a colleague who swore that on the eve of Phil and Liz's wedding he dragged the young Prince out of a Cyprus brothel and stuck him on an RAF transport plane back to the UK.
