Was using it this morning and noticed the small On/Off button had 'sunk' into the case a bit. Strange.
Went to use it this afternoon and when I pushed the button to turn it on, the button disappeared into the casing :(
Got home, prized it all apart. The micro switch has come away from the main circuit board :o
Luckily for me, I've managed to solder the switch back in place.
After a bit of mucking about with some flat ribbon connectors and tiny clips, I've managed to get it working again.
Blows on finger tips and rubs chest 8)

Ok Tarzan - you clever man ugh! ;D
If that had been ours it would have been in the bin!
Well done.
Missed the first bit of this on the news but a chap had what looked like a tablet - called it a phone?
But it is one i think which is coming in the not so distance future where it you can set it to switch on your central heating or turn it up whilst you are still at work - stuff like that.
Very interesting and clever.

Not wanting to sound smart, I could have done that 2-3 years ago.
Send a text to a mobile phone that can then activate a microcontroller via Bluetooth or direct cable.
The possibilities are endless.
Have you ever looked at my personal website. www.taximania.co.uk (http://www.taximania.co.uk)
Check the Electronics or Psion links. There's stuff I did on there 10 years ago.
The Psion 5 cost me £500 back then :o

Some people are naturally brilliant at techie stuff - sounds as if you may be in the wrong job Fly.
Have you ever thought of changing work roles?
ps it's done it this time ;)

The stuff I referred to was 10 years ago. I'm still driving a taxi. I'm just a self taught geek.
Everybody get's there before me and claims copyright. probably those with money.
I think I'm still the first person to post a picture of a Raspberry Pi working, on a Chesterfield based website :P
This one LOL ;-)
One day I might get the break and beat everybody to 'something'.
In the mean time, up at six in the morning. ;-)
PS. Bo***** Pete :P

There is actually some kind of - for want of a better word 'test' Not sure where it can be done maybe job centre or training places (sure someone will know).
After completetion this then indicates where your talents lie - many of us never find out until later in life what our true vocation should be.
I know of someone years back who had been an ambulance driver, had a fall which badly injured his leg - couldn't do his work - he took it and was found that technical work was his field. He went on to work in video/audio - and excelled in it!
