Title: Another betting shop??

Had a wander through town on Monday and noticed that the vacant shop just up from Clarks shoes (near the market) is going to be a Coral betting shop...

Aren't there enough gambling places in/around Chesterfield??

I can appreciate that.... but loan shops, amusement arcades and betting shops do nothing to attract visitors

Considering no one evr wins I'd agree that we have enough betting shops - and along with loan shops and amusement arcades, they make the town just that little bit more sleazy.

Apparently visitors to Chesterfield are on the up.
Can't remember where I saw the info right now.

I was in town Sunday. (On foot). I'm there 5 days a week usually.
Vicar Lane. Couple of new outlets I'd not seen before.
Precinct. 3? empty units, again a couple of new ones.

People or firms are trying to invest and make a profit in this town.
I wish them all the best. Hence we will let firm's advertise on here for free.
