Title: The Budget
Post by: Pete on March 20, 2013, 07:44:57 PM
Anyone here got any real benefit from it? It's an invisible buget for me except for the penny off beer... not.  :(

I reckon Osborne knows Cameron's naughty secret - ortherwise how does he keep his job? (http://www.ichesterfield.co.uk/images/no.gif) If he worked for me, I'd fire him...  ;)

Not looked into it big style yet. Penny off a pint, wow  ^-^ Let's all go out for a pint  ::)

Heard something about the tax levels for lower wage earners rising. This might make us a bit better off.
Might cover the Council Tax, and Rent increase, Bolsover Council have added to our weekly bills. £4.50.

@Slacker, have CBC put up council rents this year  8)

We should get a cut in council tax now the Police arent planning to look into each missing person.  Less work for them, less tax for us...if only...

Read a couple of things today that made me think...

One is that the UK set to lose second AAA rating - so bad news there then on the confidence front...

Second is that the Institute for Fiscal Studies has found some kind of shortfall in the current government's figures that amounts to £9bn required in 2015. All a bit technical for me, but makes interesting reading if, like me, you think that George Osborne is just making it as he goes along.

But I wouldn't go as far as some conspiracy theorists that say the Cons don't want to win the next elections and they would prefer it if it all became Labour's headache...

I don't think it's done anything for us - don't drink beer so can't gain a few pennies in that region.
Second triple AAA rating loss wouldn't surprise me - really bad if that happened.
I admit to being a bit edgy around the Cyprus banking plans which have erupted earlier this week - tghis government don't need ideas like that putting into their heads - they can think of enough ways of their own to screw us out of our last penny.
Worst dictators we have had since Maggie
I read awhile ago on the net that both the borough and north east were going for the default payment in council tax - think Slacker may have answered it in another thread?
