Interesting.
The BBC are often accused these days of being a mouthpiece for the Tories.
Just when David Cameron looks like he's in a bit of trouble as party leader the BBC do a character assassination (justified or not) on the man perceived to be his biggest challenger.
Conspiracy theorists will love it

I think that was not always the case - in fact I think it was nearer the exact opposite. But when this lot got in, the onslaught from Murdoch and Jeremy Hunt frightened the Beeb to death.
