Title: Do you believe in 'an eye for an eye'
Post by: Old Cruser on April 04, 2013, 01:21:00 PM

A Saudi man has been sentenced for paralasis for leaving a victim who he stabbed in the back paralised.
Are there many amongst us who would think this is justice.
We no longer have the hanging of murderers in this country but do you think it should be returned - 'an eye for an eye'

Whose eye did Derek Bentley  - a man with a mental age of 12 - take out when we hanged him? Whose eyes were taken out by the  likes of Stefan Kiszcko? There are too many miscarriages of justice, for me, to ever reintroduce the death penalty.

Surgical paralysis will need to be done by a surgeon. I wonder how that sits with the old Hippocratic Oath?
