I never realised he was that old. Then again, I'm not getting any younger :-(

RIP Mick  :(

In my younger days I used to go regularly to Derby to watch the wrestling - always a good laugh to watch the little old ladies running down the aisle with handbags waving at the wrestler they didn't like.
Seen many a wrestler get his earhole clipped

As a kid I spent weekends with my Grandma & Grandad, and saturday afternoon, on World of Sport (presented by Dickie Davis) at around 4pm, Kent Walton uttered the words "Welcome grapple fans", and the wrestling commenced. Grandad was very poorly sighted, so used to sit about two feet away from the telly, and got very animated when "dirty" wrestling moves happened, i.e. a punch the referee couldn't see. Everyone loved it if Mick McManus got beat - but that rarely happened. He must have been in his 50's then when I was watching him - I just did the maths.
RIP Mick :(
