Title: Lovely day for fishing.
Post by: Our_Lass on July 07, 2013, 06:55:11 PM
Went to Langwith Lodge ponds, just down the road from the Jug And Glass.
Just for a couple of hours. Must admit, we were sat in the shade.
Caught a little Crucian carp about 1/2lb
Then caught this rather nice Mirror Carp. About 7-8 pounds, not a record breaker, but a very nice looking specimen.

Two mates took me fishing for the first time a couple of weeks ago.
Went to Barlow fisheries.
I expected the main reaction to be boredom.
It wasn't, it was sheer frustration!! The water was clear enough that we could see dozens of fish swimming around the bait. But did they bite?
Did they £$%^&*% heck as like !!!

I bet the fish are swimming around, looking up and laughing their heads off at 'us' sitting in the heat trying to hook them.... :)) :)) :))

No, by 'us' I meant human beings - I wouldn't have the patience to sit all day hoping a fish might choose my hook to hang from.
