Just been reading on Twitter about the new Morrisons on Vicar Lane - work is due to start on 18th July in the former HMV store and scheduled to start trading on 9th September.
-
Not sure how much trade it will generate Pete I'm supposing it's going to be more of a drop in for a couple of items shop - unless they are providing shopping trollies.
-
One of my colleagues is going to be the asst manager. If I see him in the next two days I will ask him what sort of sales levels they are chasing.
-
I just look upon it as an alternative to f*cking Tesco.

Looks increasingly like we are losing the battle versus "f*cking" Tesco regarding The Somerset House Pub in Calow. DCC have conditionally approved the application. >:(
However, a certain Member of the House of Commons (Bolsover) is now on the case - and I have the letter to prove it. He's promised to keep us updated.
Fingers crossed etc.
