Title: Railway Children film receives first ever complaint – 42 years after release
Post by: Pete on July 11, 2013, 05:37:43 PM
You couldn't make this up...

Some numpty has complained to the British Board of Film Classification that the film might encourage children to play on railway tracks...

Just shows how intelligent older people are - we realised it was just a film and that it was dangerous to play near trains. But younger folks aren't bright enough to figure that out...  :P

We are health and safety addicts now in the UK.

Like you Pete I am old and realise that playing on railways tracks is not a good idea

We used to play on the lines at New Bolsover all the time when I was about 4-5.
Luckily there weren't many trains running through Bolsover Station in the early 70's.
Just the odd NCB train using it a sidings  ;D
