Title: Wind turbines
Post by: simondjuk on July 18, 2013, 09:13:29 PM
Now the question is not about whats right and wrong, its just a case of wondering what you think of them

Some of you may have seen these whacking great turbines on the M1 close to the M18 turn.

Personally I like them, id rather see them than a coal or nuclear power station plus these look quite sleek and modern

Like or loathe?

They look like this:

I love 'em. Get a quick thrill every time I see them. Sometimes they look like a piece of modern art in the middle of the countryside. Lovely!

I don't mind them to be honest they look quite elegant when there are several of them

Leaving aside the rights or wrongs of them, I don't mind  them at all - better than electricity pylons and HT power lines stretching across the countryside.

I'd rather have them than all the proposed fracking sites, including the one near us which is likely to rear its ugly head again soon.http://e-edition.metro.co.uk/2013/07/19/ (http://e-edition.metro.co.uk/2013/07/19/)

Has one of these monsters, I don't mind them, actually been built near someone's house.
Apart from the farmhouse where the farmer is getting paid for it being there  ;)

Like Scimitar said, much better than the fracking scenario  >:
