It was starting to slow down, usual case. Too Many games and apps installed.
So I factory reset'ed it, now the wifi won't work. :-X
F-it, going to PCWorld in the morning and buying a Nexus 7, or something.
This one's been a piece of sh** since I bought it before xmas !!
-
Nexus 7 - nice bit of kit mate. I'd be interested in having a look if you do get one.
-
If I buy from a retailer, not ebay, I can take it back if it fails.
My mistake for buying cheap in the first place.
Take heed peeps :(
-
Sounds a good idea to me Fly I can then pick your brains if I get stuck with hubbies. ;)
-
PCWorld didn't have the Nexus 7 16Gb in stock. £149.99. :(
So I bought the 32Gb model. £189.99 :o :))
Just in the process of updating the OS. All looking good so far.
Updated. Android 4.2.2 installed.
Tapatalk installed.
Root Browser installed.
Just need to get it to read my external 32Gb memory card now via the OTG cable ;)
Yep getting there :)
-
Be wary of the talking thingy or whatever it's caled. I couldn't do anything with hubbies for ages after I switched it on. Flipping Tablet had gremlins
-
I'll take that into consideration OC.
Giving it a good overnight charge tonight.
-
Mmm. Not connecting to my mobile wifi set up . . . . .
Works fine on the house wifi network. Super fast ;)
-
Finally got it connected via mobile internet.
Painfully slow :-X
-
Tapatalk seems faster than using the internet to browse the forum :-)
Sent from my Nexus 7
-
I dare not try tapatalk on hubbies - probably get into one big mess with it ;D
-
Hows it going Fly
-
@OC
If I told you I'd spent the last 3 hours trying to 'Root' it, you'd call me rude names :))
-
Hey none of that routing stuff mr Fly by night
Pervy Pam ;D
-
Rooted ;) and Android 4.3 installed :)
-
Oops. Bricked it. won't turn on or do anything. :(
Luckily, I sort of knew what I was doing. Back up and running now. Android 4.2.2
Won't let me update to 4.3 ??
@OC. 'Rooting' is like getting a mobile phone unlocked to work on any network. You get access to the system files.
I didn't like the battery, wifi, clock, date, icons etc, top right of the screen.
I was used to them being bottom right. So I 'flashed' a modification to the tablet. Cos it's rooted ;)
It wasn't compatible, even though the website said it was ::)
It killed my Nexus(Bricked it).
All's fine now again 8)
Anyone need a hand with a Nexus 7, I'm getting there ;)
-
Gawwd ya talk in Chinese now Fly ;D
-
Fly do this
1) throw Nexus away
2) buy iPad
3) turn on
4) Use
Simples :)
