The following is from Derbyshire County Council
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A617 BY-PASS CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 05 August 2013 to 24 August 2013, between 1900hrs and 0600hrs nightly
WHERE: Close the A617 By-Pass in both directions between the A61 Hornsbridge Island and the B6425 Hassocky Lane over bridge.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway repair.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE EASTBOUND: Will be via A617 eastbound offslip road – Spital Lane – St.Leonards Drive – Hasland Road – B6039 Mansfield Road – B6425 Hassocky Lane – A617 eastbound onslip road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE WESTBOUND: Will be via A617 westbound offslip road – B6425 Hassocky Lane – B6039 Mansfield Road – Hasland Road – A617 westbound onslip road.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 08456 058058.
The County Council intends to make/has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
