Just saw a bloke do 3 point turn in the middle of a busy Markham Road - and he was on his hand-held mobile at the same time. Don't these people care? :(
Pillock.

I'm sure a £100 fine would really teach that guy a lesson. Whereas my solution - a machine like a big car transporter that parks outside the phone-user's house and crushes the car to a 10cm biscuit, while the neighbours laugh, and point - that'll never see the light of day.

My "tribute" to those too idle to signal and those who make no effort to park (some photos taken by me and a song I found)

I was out this afternoon on a photographic mission travelling along the road towards The Strines, when this car just hurtled up behind me tooting like mad. He hadn't been there a matter of seconds before - it was if he came out of nowhere. I had no choice but to let him pass then he took off at such a dangerous speed for that road. I fully expected to find him upside down in a ditch somewhere! >:(

Can't drivers who park over the white lines in bays be fined now
-
Depends where. Supermarkets (& similar) have no powers to fine though (as with over-stayers) they could sue under contract law

I'm ashamed to admit that someone accused me recently of parking my car like it had been abandoned. She was joking, but I went out and looked and it was a bit skew-wiff. I will be more mindful in future! :-[

Saw another one today on Brampton. There was a car coming up from town in the middle of the road looking like he was wanting to turn right into School Board Lane. I slowed to let him and he swung across in front of me and pulled up facing the wrong way outside the bookies.
He was not only driving with one hand holding his mobile phone but in the back, stood up, leaning between the front seats, was a boy of seven or eight years old.

Yikes, hate that type of people :-X
Don't they respect for their own children etc

Yep - we weren't that far off having a bump - I hadn't slowed down very much because it looked like he was turning off Chatsworth Road. There wasn't more than a couple of feet between us. What a prat...
