I have a Googlemail account that is linked to an old blogger account I set up ages ago. I can still access the Blogger account but for some reason seem to be locked out of the mail account. I've reset the password quite a few times and nothing seems to work.
Does anyone have any theories on what might be wrong?

I think its just Google mail generally. ive got an account linked to Google Play Store and sometimes it doesnt recognise the password.
Is there an option to send the password reset to another address?

Don't they close accounts that haven't been accessed for a while.
I think they gave me a new email address a few years ago. surnameisforename@ or something as silly.
Twas about the same time they changed the blogger site.
Buy your own domain name with email forwarding, eg GertyGum.co.uk
You can then re-direct emails sent to you to anywhere you want.
EG. use eon@ GertyGum.co.uk for your lecky company, gas@ GertyGum.co.uk etc etc
That way you know which company is sending you spam.
Send me an email to TheCrazyPersonTalkingToGerty@barryfeatherstone.co.uk
I'll post the content of the email on here to prove my point. I will receive the email ;)
www.barryfeatherstone.co.uk (http://www.barryfeatherstone.co.uk) costs me about £7 a year. Yes I put the website info there, I don't have too.
The email bit is part of the package ;)

No probs with Gmail here. I have two accounts, both working fine. :)

Guys thank you so much for the suggestions. In desperation I created another Googlemail account and I can't access that one either.
At some point, the Google details appear in the address bar and flash rapidly and continually as if going through some kind of search. I'm wondering now if I've messed with some settings in my lap top as I can get to the account from daughter's lap top.
Does any of that indicate anything to you? Apart from me being a numpty!

If the details are flashing rapidly, could it be a browser problem. Have you tried accessing the account(s) from other devices or perhaps updating your browser (or computer) and trying again.
I used to be unable to access my web server (I'm a web designer) through firefox on a mac because the login site wouldn't scroll the forms to fill in usernames and passwords etc. Chrome seems pretty robust so try installing that, if you haven't already.
I use my own name as my email (like Mr Featherstone) and since I started working for myself have started building my own website there as well (http/::www.jeffguest.co.uk (http://http/::www.jeffguest.co.uk) - plug plug)
Hope this helps
