Title: Tesco Petrol Prices
Post by: Kent on September 23, 2013, 08:27:55 PM
On My Way to Work (in Ripley) I always pass The Tesco Garage at Clay Cross, and often Fill up
at 5.30 am, But not for the last 3 weeks as I have noticed the price for a Ltr has stayed at £138.9.
Not a couple of miles away on Stretton Top is a Jet Garage at £137.9 a Ltr .

************** WHERE IS THIS PRICE PROMISE TESCO*************    ?

Needles to say I wont be using TESCO PETROL AGAIN they are INCOMPETENT or LIARS

Whilst at RIPLEY today, I Paid £135.9 at Sainsburys..... Enough Said.

Hurry up and open Aldi ... Stuff the Liars of TESCO

Kent - if Tesco operate a price promise on fuel, why not ask them to honour it?

I'm pretty sure that no supermarket offers a price promise on fuel. The other thing you will notice is fuel is the only thing that isn't at a uniform price across the country.

@ Big Dave  ..... why waste your time, if you can get cheaper else were, without
going out of your way

@ therealjr .. ok probably not a price promise, but a price match of the cheapest fuel within 3 or 5 miles
and yes I know petrol prices is area driven, especially where there is and Asda Petrol Station

We could do with an Asda petrol Station within the Area.

Supermarkets undercut local garages until several went out of business now they are often dearer

Slightly off topic but I have been buying the punnets of Straberries from tesco's at £2 - today they are still £2 but only half the quantity in them as there has been!
Needless to say I didn't buy any

Esso stations now give Tesco points but don't take their money off vouchers

The One that I have Noticed is the re-packaging of their own brands.
eg. a packet of dark chocolate biscuits 45p. suddenly after a couple of years
they re-package it/re-brand it and hey presto the price nearly doubles. to 85p
and as it stood a couple of weeks ago 90p.

Don't all big stores do that Kent.
You buy stuff you like for weeks, then suddenly notice the price has shot up.
I'm gettin old. The years are starting to blend together LOL

Sorry OC we only get about 6 hours notice to change the price and then we are sworn to secrecy so that the competition cant follow suit for 24hrs.

Quick answer to your questions are don't know and can't remember. its 129.something but I cant  be more accurate than that.

My Big Boss @ Home bought some this week, and was not very happy about the content size
and quality. Now as with what happened to their meat, she is going to buy from alternative
'fresh, local suppliers'.

I'm loving this Kenty, not a huge fan of Tesco tbh... :)

I am finally getting through to the Big Boss @ Home, and she has realised that prices have
risen for, what has become ' Sub-Standard Quality Products'.

My 50 year old Riley runs better on Tesc petrol so Sainsbury's could be 50p a litre and I still wouldn't buy it.
